I had seen many threads asking about sealants and thread locking gunge due to the Mercuiser manual being out of date. Here are the latest part numbers for the commonly used stuff.
Quicksilver Loctite 8831 was part no: 92-823089-1 and then was 92-80980 loctite 271 for a while and is now replaced by Loctite 270;
Quicksilver Perfect Seal was part no: 92-34227-1 was 92-34227q02 and is now replaced with Perfect Seal 150M Cord;
Quicksilver RTV sealer was 92-91601-1 then 92-809825 called Silicon Blue and is now replaced with Loctite 5910;
Hope it helps someone else who might otherwise have hell tracking down the official gunge to use. Serious warning, using teh wrong gunge immediately voids any warantee you may have. Been there and got the tee shirt.
