My engne's dying wh it warms up. I sit and drift for anhour or more until it cools down and it will fire right up. I've checked the voltage to my coil and found that the Ballast Resistor is outputting 12 volts to the Coil's positive terminal both when running and when only switched on. I believe this is more than it shouldbe.....? The resistor is 1 year old. A new resistor also outputs 12 volts (not running). What's going on....?

What is the engine coolant temp? It could the fuel is vapourising. Try a lower thermostat. Engine timing is it correct?
How old is the engine a bit more info would help. Engine model, horsepower etc.
