mercruiser alternator help !!

after a small mishap with my alternator I am looking for re-assurance about the voltage output.

engine is mercruiser 350 magnum
output reading at cigar socket is 14.6V at idle (voltage guage reads just under 15V)

does this sound okay

mishap was that ring connector attached to alternator became sheared/corroded/faulty ??

Sounds just fine. Obviously also depends on battery charge state but 14.6 volts is normally a good charging voltage.
