Guy's
I desperately need some help, We recently purchased a 2002 Maxum 2700SCR with low hours, only 188 on the Mercruiser 350 Mag MPI with Bravo 3 leg,
I had her serviced by a marine engineer in March and other parts where changed such as water pump and exhaust manifolds, risers, riser blocks etc.
We have a problem when trying to get up on plane, the boat will plod along happily below 3,000 rpm but when i ask for more she holds back and will NOT revv past 3,000 under load. The props are original so i dont think it could be under propped, when out of gear the engine revvs freely, we have had her on a diagnostics but this showed no faults. I have cleaned the flame arrestor and also made sure the fuel tank vent pipe is clear. Could it be the anti syphon valve? Could it be a leg or drive clutch problem (it doesnt slip), Any ideas will be gratefully recieved.
The fuel is old in the tank but there are no misfires or lumpy running to indicate 'bad' fuel
Thank you
Richard
