Mente Marine interesting new product due for release in the next few months

I've been seriously thinking about fitting automatic trim controls to Bizzy Bee with the Mente Marine ACS+ system my preferred solution.

Just been on their website and it looks like a change in their product is on the way to get shot of the control boxes, need to install it in the engine bay, running wires back to the helm etc etc.

It appears they've developed a solution where all the attitude detection is performed within the control panel itself http://www.mente-marine.com/

I wonder how well it'd perform when compared to their legacy system

Looks good, but no mention if compatible with Eltrim tabs so I guess they are not... Shame, as our hardy needs a fair amount of trim adjustments and would be lovely if a bit if kit would take care of all of that.

Good spot James, I've just sent them an email to check if it's compatible.. fingers crossed as mine are Eltrims too

Page 8 of the downloadable manual shows how to connect with electro mechanical tabs

It mentions electromechanical - so might work with Eltrim.

I have asked if a single unit will work on a dual helm set up, in fact I can't see two working together as they might fight each other. I know that with my Bennett you must not operate both up and down on opposite sides together, I suppose an isolation switch on the non-mente control unit might be necessary.

The install video makes it look too easy.

Nice spot Gary. If you get one please provide some feedback.

Just noticed the Dual station units
