Anyone tried this on a boat berth? The cushions on my boat are plain foam, 3" thick, and I am tempted by the ads for overlays (or my hips are) ... but you know, ads... I'd like to know someone else has had success with it before shelling out over a hundred sovs.

We are only using a 1"overlay, but it has made an enormous difference.

Cut it to shape and make a robust cover (maybe towelling or something similar) to go over it, then make a couple of fitted sheets with elastic round the bottom to hold them on, or use a shaped duvet cover.

With a duvet (shaped) on top it is very comfy.

We have a 2" topper at home which is also excellent. Both of the toppers were sourced on EBAY.

Pleasant dreams /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

We have a 2" memory foam layer that was fitted to the boat last year. It makes a real difference. This year we fitted the slats as well from Ikea £11 per set - that is twice as good for hips - have never slept better on our 10 week cruise to S Brittany - even in my own bed at home.

We also went for the 2" Raskelf overlay after looking at the options at the SIBS last year. They supplied it really quickly after we sent them a template of the berth and WOW, what a difference it makes. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
So much more comfortable. Highly recommended.
