Memories rekindled

Spent most of today bashing about in a Ring with a monster outboard on the stern. The boat is an ex race boat with a 200 merc. Believe it or not this is a first purchase. I went along as an invited old hand. Brilliant day, I'd forgoten what 70mph 12 inches above the water felt like, it makes me want to down size and get back to the boats that I started in.

Fast is not the word, theres not much on the water that keeps pace with the thing, makes the blood pump round the body a bit faster and I left my glasses in the car. So i ended up looking rather red eyed after our little trip out today. It eats up the miles damn quickly and eats petrol even quicker, theres got to be a downside to having fun somewhere I suppose.

How much more fun would it have been with your glasses on ?

the down side...

they say that the body has a finite amount of heat beats... the faster it beats the quicker you use them up!!!

my get feeling is to get the heart going as fast as possible, if it's gonna happen i want to be enjoying it!!!!!!

Jerry from the boat yard has a Revenger 25 with a 300hp Evinrude V8 outboard.
He's offered to take me for a spin. Sounds like I should go, if it's anything like that one.

Go on, do it. I'm seriously thinking of getting one for my self. It'll certainly catch you out as its easy to forget how reactive these things are to helm input. from standstill to on the plane is pretty damn quick. Fun with a capital F.
