Sorting out my vids I pieced together this vid from clips from last summers cruise around the Archipelago Sea.

Coming summer we plan to head west for Stockholm. Can't wait for the summer to begin :).

It's a Phantom 3, the one in the middle within that range, iirc.

The P4's have an improved camera and I'm trying to figure out how big a difference there is. P4 pro and pro+ have again better camera than the stnd P4. Must investigate further.

Don't foresee any. The spirit is more like; you're free to fly, as long as you don't violate anyones privacy, and if you cock it up, it's 'strict liability' -time (if that's the correct term). The general attitude thus far has been fairly relaxed.

Edit: No restrictions regarding commercial use either, as far as I'm aware.

Btw, It seems that the drone can follow the boat nicely, even while cruising at some speed.
Do you know up to which sort of speed it can keep up?

According to specs, iirc, it should be capable of 20 knots. I did have to throttle back to 18 knots while shooting to be able to catch up and pick different angles. The later drones are much faster.

Absolutely beautiful Scuba! The ice is gone but temperatures are still low and unfortunately we will have a cold front ower eastern.

I visited the boat yard today where our boats have been spending the winter and I saw Aida in the water already. Looks like you are in for an early start, with a good heater these are very beautiful times for boating. My boat is still undergoing some last minute service on the drive lines, this should be sorted in a few days so Alexandra will most likely be taken out and put in the water next week.

Stocholm is very nice! On our several trips to Stockholm we prefer to stay at Wasahamnen in the center next to Gröna lund. From here you can take the city ferry to the old town and it takes only a few minutes. Then there is Sandhamn which is a must on the way in or out. Any plans for Gotland and Estonia on the way back?

My daughter is getting married in Helsinki this June so we will be there around then.
I have a new Mavic (bought on the excuse of the wedding!!!) that I'm bringing out.
I believe you keep the boat in the middle of Helsinki.
If so, maybe we could get together for a chat.

Aida went into water yesterday as they had some shuffling to do and my boat was more or less ready. Unfortunately we are unable to start the season for a few weeks. In fact, I'm typing this post on plain to Alicante, where we'll stay over the Easter. Then there is my sons season ending ice hockey tournament, but 'Vappu' i.e. weekend around 1st of May is our goal...

Sorry to hear about your last minute hickup, hope you get it sorted soon.

And thanks for the tips regarding Stockholm!

No other firm plans yet. Maybe back via Aland but we'll play it by ear.

Yes, the boat is within very easy reach from the big church and the main market square. Right about here:

It would be nice to meet in person and have a chat. Maybe, time permitting, also have a quick cruise around Helsinki and take the Mavic for a spin? We'll be there most weekends in June and plan to start our summer cruise around 23th/24th. Let's exchange pm's for details.

Note for Hurricane: M, in your boots I wouldn't hesitate to take K up on his kind offer.
The coast and the islands around Helsinki are lovely, and if there is a better way to experience them, compared to a bit of cruising in great company with a beautiful boat, well, I don't know what it is.
Looking forward to yet some other stunning clips! :encouragement:
