Here’s an all-day treat for tidal Thames/Medway/Swale boaters to enjoy before the season starts! The MSBA and the RYA South East invite you to our second boating conference on Saturday 7 March. The venue is St George’s Centre, a magnificent former church built for the naval barracks at Chatham.

We have a great line-up of speakers including top people from the RYA (including the Chairman) and others with specialised local knowledge about what makes the Medway/Swale estuary so special for those of us who go on the water for sport or recreation. You will have the opportunity to put your questions to the speakers, especially on topical issues that affect many of us. We will also have a dozen exhibitors for you to meet during the breaks.

Thanks to the exhibitors and generous sponsorship from Medway Council and Peel Ports we have been able to keep the cost down to £15, and if you book before 15 February it’s only £12. The price includes lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

Please come to support our aim, to promote and protect boating on the tidal Medway and Swale. The MSBA’s membership includes not just yacht clubs but motor cruising, dinghy sailing, rowing, powerboats, waterskiing, personal watercraft and even hovercraft clubs. We also include groups of enthusiasts who restore and maintain classic craft such as veteran tugs and paddle steamers. The major marinas, chandleries and other marine businesses have joined us to support recreational boating locally. The RYA has similar aims nationally and is strongly supporting us at this conference and in our other activities.
