A small festival this Saturday at river front in Chatham town centre.Usual stalls and stuff ashore.Local clubs are putting on displays inc.rowing/dinghy racing/canoes/PWC/ hovercraft etc. with a sailpast of fishing boats/working boats and a gin palace or two.
One of the big tugs is coming up from Sheerness to give a water display.
Worth a look !
Think a fast rib will be offering rides as well. OG

Weather was actually surperb for once with a brisk but warm wind.
Appeared to be well attended on the shore judging by the crowds, nice to see the locals appreciating the river as somewhere other than to dump supermarket trollys.
Very good displays from the local sailing clubs and jet ski enthusiasts.
Crowd pleaser of the day was most definately the chap on the water powered fly board, most impressive.
Trot boat bought out several visitors, who spotted us from the shore.
Sailpast did not go quite as listed when the tugboat leading the flottila decided to ignore the all the plans and commenced to do sailpast all of his own leaving everyone else milling about wondering what the hell was going on..:)
