In another of my my bang up to date posts, a small flottila of boats from
East Farleigh Cruising Club called into "my" club for victualling on Saturday night before going round into the Thames for a week or two.
A couple of Birchwood 33s are in the fleet, one of which is captained by a fine upstanding member of the EA lock staff on my own fine waterway.
Their burgee is bright yellow with three little oasthouses in a line.

Seen several Medway based boats up here in recent weeks. I religiously introduce myself, ask if they are having a good time and do they, perchance, happen to know my good mate, Oldgit, who frequents their home waters?

Drawn a complete blank so far although one did claim to know where Rochester Cruising club is located. One shifty looking pair had a Princess 33 of dubious pedigree but what I thought was a badly erased name writ large on the cabin sides turned out to be some rather persistent dried on Mudway sludge - at least that was their story and they said they were sticking to it - the story, that is, not the mud.

Anyways, what would you like us to do with this latest influx ? The scale of the invasion seems a little diminished in comparison with what we've recently been sending in your direction - certainly not worth asking Tedders to ready the Barge Lock.

Oh, EFCC, is that the club you would have joined if you hadn't suddenly been smitten with rampant desire to mix it with the Blue Duster crowd? :D Or was it the apple crumble that carried the day?

New Props have just bitten the bullet.

As both my proper props and my addititional spare pair have been repaired so many times that they compose of little but welded paint, now have purchased a brand spanking new pair from Steel Developments, not exactly the same pitch but as close as makes no difference regards the sort of economical speeds we tend to drift about at.
Will this add 10 knots to my speed ?

"or have you somehow managed to persuade Sue to bankroll you?"

If one could turn the sound of hollow laughter into a computor icon ....what would it look like ?
