Universities boat race
26 May (River Medway)
Crews from the University of Kent, University of Greenwich and Canterbury Christ Church University will be rowing their fastest to see who can win the first ever university challenge boat race. Races will start from Halling and finish on the Esplanade.
10.30am Heads of the river race - The race will involve local rowing clubs from Medway and Kent
11.00am The universities women's race - The University of Kent v Canterbury Christchurch University
11.45am The main 'alternative boat race' - the men's 8s - The University of Kent v The University of Greenwich.

Seen them out most evenings honing their skills, like rowing when they snag a car tyre on an oar or semi submerged wheelie bin avoidance.
I've asked Cheryl to sort out her worst cushions so we can tie them on the side.

Will be popping up to watch oarpersons and then down to Strand for Barge Match.
One or two barges have already arrived and have one parked outside my front window at the moment.
Winds appear to be on light side,so race might be curtailed at Sheerness, which means you will not be able to see it on the
SheppeyWebCam about lunchtime ish
Note they have 2 webcams on the site
