Is Edith May one of the barges?
I ask as we moored on the visitor pontoons near you at the weekend and the barge was doing trips up river.

They hope to get around 12 barges this weekend.
The Edith May dropped her gear in order to get under bridge, picking up folks visiting the Dickens Festival. Was busy all day, think she stopped about 8pm.
Other barges moored in Gillingham Dock and at Hoo.
Looks to be a half decent day (for barges)with a bit on wind and sun.
Length of race circuit will depend on wind as they do like to be back at Gillingham for tea.:)

The barge people are at MYC tonight.

There's not a matching pair of waterproofs or any branded sailing gear in sight, rigger boots and wooly jumpers are the must have items of the day.

All rather refreshing......

Really !......are you sure ?...Is it actually possible to enjoy yourself and not to risk life and limb while out sailing without (at least) £2000 quids worth of "technical" clothing adorning your torso ? :)

Those fluorescent road workers jackets probably do the same job as 'ocean pro super-offshore technicals' :)
