Mediterranean S34

My neigbour mentioned to the broker he was thinking of selling and an offer was received the next day.
However the asking price does have to be realistic.

found an S34 in Empuriabrave 2003 on at 66k with would you believe KAD 43 engines, I’ve never seen one with that engine installed.
.
There is one with kad43's at Farndon so not a one off.

We looked at one with 43’s in York last year. It was a standard offering and there are reports / speculation of hull damage with those engine due to being driven too hard. No idea whether there is any substance to them or whether it is just the usual Sealine bashing rhetoric.

Next on the list.
I didn't really want a pre-face lift S34 but its worth a look anyway. So I'll be looking at a 2000 boat in Hamble today and maybe a 2007 D4 boat too.
Also a 2004 S38 with 300's in Port Solent,(strengthening has been done) but I don't know much more about this model.

The S38 has a weird lighting system, others will know the name, There is a common wire and switching and dimming are done by electronic signals send down the common wire. I wonder who could fix it if it goes wrong.

Spares for the early SeaPlex versions are almost non-existent, although some repairs are possible.
BritBoatParts and Seabridge Marine have some modules.
Upgrading the whole thing to the newer SeaPlex is an option, but not a cheap one. Display is £1000, switch bank £600, etc.
SC35 went back to having regular wiring and switches on a panel.
