Several months ago I bought a loaf of bread and secured it thoughfully in a locker, I suddenly remembered it on Wednesday and retreived it. Should I keep to supplement the antibiotics in my medicine chest and if so what sort of dosages would be appropriate?

Well - thats a kind suggestion - we need to clarify whether the growth is white, green or blue - also spots of growth or patches?

In terms of antibiotic supplement I think you would be wise to hang on to it - anyone taken ill with, for example pulmonary oedema, a chew of the rotting loaf should induce vomiting and the Eartha Kitts fairly quickly which should help to move along all those nasty frothy little specks of reddish sputum and so advance the rate of recovery. Perhaps being kept in a porous bag in the bilges might help keep it in the peak of condition?

Re: ground bait - antibiotics

mmmm I think the Fisheries and or food standards agency might have something to say about primming fish with antibiotics.. think the medicine has to be registered as safe...

I have much experience of treating tropical diseases with mouldy cheese so I would suggest that you send a sample off to the London School of Tropical Diseases to see if they can maybe use your mould for some of the nastier diseases.. I would assume that it will be the reeaaally leathal diseases that might sucome to your moulds
