The minefield of visa application get's worse.
I have to get (Schengen) medical insurance for my wife (Australian) to support he visa application to come cruising in France for longer than 90 days.

Any advice on an Insurance company? Already have emergency cover in the boat policy but that is restricted to boat related issues!

Trouble is Yottie insurance is not what the visa people want! They want a specific medical insurance to cover normal living medical costs! It really is a nightmare. Brexit could make it even worse!!

Try Allianz healthcare. I took a policy out in Portugal, covers all of Europe and at a fraction of a similar policy in UK. Basically you fund the first 10% of any claim. Have used it and works very well.
I found that anything I tried to take out in UK that was similar was going to cost a fortune.
The policy I have is for expats living in Portugal although they do not insist you are resident there or spend all your time there.
It may fit the bill for you.

This is the detail of the policy as sold to me by my broker in Portugal. Allianz will probably have offices in France so a google search may find them.

That is brilliant!! Many thanks. Less than half the other quotes I've been given! Nice to know that there is help at hand on this forum!!
