Hi, my wife and I are just about to join the vast migration South to the med for a few years before continuing on round the world. A task on our Project plan is to investigate Medical / Health Insurance for us. Has anyone got any recommendations or what do others do? Peter.

I take out an annual multitrip health insurance with Pantaenius for the whole family.
They don't ask for an additional premium for skiing!!
Since they do yacht insurance and medical insurance it's worth asking for a quote for
whatever period you're after.

I have an annual multi-trip policy from AUL called Mariners Travel. As the name implies, it does not discriminate against sailing offshore (excluded by many policies) and it can be extended to allow single trips of up to 120 days.

We got ours from St Margarets, although our yacht insurance isnt with them. Generally, the boat insurers seem to have more applicable policies than the mass insurers

they seem to be the first company unfazed by my asking for medical cover for Mediterranean & european countries outside the EC.
