Thanks for clearing that up.
Inccidentally I did swim off beach in Nice and I did not have a shower. Will that explain the way I looked on return to UK or is that just down to the fact that I drank too much, ate too much, slept Not too much, had sex Not too much and turned 40. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

PS I'm having trouble getting my head around the idea of "too much" sex. What is this strange concept?

Hot? Hot as in hot or as in 'hot'? Well, both really, I suppose. I mean, the sun's shining and the girls in Trieste are the prettiest in Italy, but no, it's not ra-ra Marbella or Cannes or Nice. More Bognor than Brighton.
The water is very clean, however! We even have a river whose water you may safely gargle with - one of the purest in Europe. The problem is the occasional outbreak of mucilage which looks like whale-sized snot. Not toxic, but not nice. No one's quite sure what causes this algal bloom although it's not pollution: it's been happening on and off for centuries.
