Good morning,

We are leaving the boat at Valence for the winter & will need some work done next year which will involve liftout & removal of rudder, propeller & prop. shaft. Experience indicates that a recommendation from a satisfied customer is generally best, so if you have been happy with work of this nature in this area your input would be appreciated.

We have used Blanquarts in the past & found them to be competent & honest but perhaps not the most organised &, in any case would prefer somewhere further south - Navy Service possibly?

Hopeful anticipatory thanks,

John G

I can recommend Mr Allerman at Grau de Agde. Very competent and well run boatyard with a well stocked chandlery. Everyone i've spoken to says the same and prices are reasonable too. PM me if you need more details.

Yes, Chantier Allemand are very good. They are, as a result, often booked up but no doubt Andy could assist with a word or two!
If you're heading south, then other options might be Navy Service (as you mention) but also the 'technical' firms located at the huge nearby coastal marinas of Cap d'Agde and Port Camargue.
