I agree. I have the second edition on my boat. It is the most used book in my library. He seems to have thoroughly researched every topic .... but I suspect the newer editions are even better.
His book on refrigeration is excellent to for us who have heavy equipment like Glacier Bay's ..... but I borrowed one. Wish I had one in my library though.
If anyone askes me how to fix something on their boats, I usually refer them to the Nigel Calder's book so they know how to fix it for themselves.
