I need some work done to my volvo 2002. I recon it can be done while afloat but do not have time myself. Any recommendations for a mechanic. Boat near Wicor.
Could try Malcolm Morling at Haslar. Haven't used him but he is supposed to know his stuff-someone on here may have his mobile-if not marina office may be able to help-he advertises in the year book.

Hi - If they need to embarque from Wicor landing stage, then you will need to use one of the yards "approved" people. There is a list oin the website from which I have coped this:
Marine Engineers
• A D Marine - 02392 465638 or 07802 766738 - alan@admarine.com (Beta)
• Breeze Marine – 02380 455035 – sales@breeze-marine.co.uk
• Cutler Marine Engineering - 01243 375 014 - info@cutlermarine.com (Yanmar & Bukh)
• G.V. Marine Engineering Services - 01329 512356 or 07798 638625
• Marine Power - 023 8040 3918 (Yanmar)
• Motortech Marine Engineering - 02392 201171 (Volvo)
• R K Marine - 01489 583572 - service@rkmarine.co.uk (Volvo)
• Swanwick Marine Engineers – 01489 582023 – swanwickmarine@btconnect.com
• T S Marine - 01489 581030 - info@tsmarine.co.uk
• D RAY Marine - 01202 680800 - d-raymarine@btconnect.com
I don't know any of the guys but I know RK marine has a good reputation.
If you use an unapproved guy, I think they will have to pay to use the landing stage, but I am not sure. Give Scott a call.

Am surprised you don't have a list of Volvo agents.
Motortech at Haslar and Port Solent do the biz.

Agreed, used them twice in the last year. First thing they did before starting work was lay cardboard to protect the carpets and woodwork. There isn't much they can do about volvo prices but there advice is always good and a sharp eye for detail noticed a couple of problems I hadn't. Would be my recommendation to a friend.
