I have a fault with my approx 10 year old Meaco DDL8 dehudifier. It runs fine for about 10 minutes then shuts down, control panel locks till the power is reset. After some investigation and striping down (the dehumidifier that is) I have found that the heater is getting very hot, and the small fan that is supposed to blow air through the heater housing is not working. There seems to be 240V available from the connector on the circuit board and the motor and fan seem to turn quite freely by hand. Does anyone have experience of this fault or have any suggestions, I may try to source a new motor from the part number on the motor. Plan B may be a new hummer, it probably does not owe me much after circa 10 years, but where is the fun in that
