I've been running a Meaco DD8L very successfully for a couple of winters, but this winter, it's continually filling up the bucket rather than draining through the hose into the galley sink... I've tried a gentle tilt forward with a bit of cardboard, but nothing seems to work. Anyone got any ideas?

Make sure the hose runs continuously downward. I had the same problem and found that a slight rise in the hose after leaving the meaco was the problem.

It's explained in the manual; you need to cut a small hole in the top of the hose just after it leaves the unit and make sure that the hole remains open.

We had this problem for the first time this year. Seems we were blocked off a little down at the stern.
Reeds marina guide under the front edge solved the problem.

We've never had a hole in the hose either.

Thanks to all as we had the same problem last year and so have retired ours however seems it might be time to get it back in action. Never saw the reference though to a hole in pipe as suggested but willing to try idea.
