I had an intresting problem.
My MD22 was loosing coolant and eventually I tracked it down the the place where the heat exchanger connects to the exhaust elbow. That part of the heat exchanger has a coolant passage in it and corrosion between the mild steel exhaust elbow and the heat exchanger had cause the part to corrode letting out the coolant into the exhaust.
I took the plunge, cut the flange off, got a new one made and welded on.
Now I have to test it but for owners of a MD22 or similar it is a point to keep an eye on and check.
