MD11 injector replacement

Further to earlier posts,

now in the process of re-assembling the heads.

I had the injectors checked and then cleaned and re-set. Helpful local Bosch shop showed me the pattern before and after.
All good now.

Q.
Is there supposed to be a sealing o-ring half-way up the body?

As given back to me, there is none, and I dont recall. There is NOT one shown in the diags on marineparts, and I think this 'groove' is the assembly line between the top and bottom halves of the injector.

But I want to check with all you good people out there.

Do I need an o-ring on the injector body?

There's no O-ring on the injector. There is an O-ring in the cylinder head, to seal the copper sleeve into which the injector fits.

Do not fit any copper washers at the nozzle end oh the injector!
