Iam sure this has been asked a before and i have tried the search but no joy.
Can anyone recommend a service agent for Mcmurdo 406 epirb model E3 it needs a new battery, or should i buy new updated one with GPS compared with cost of replacement batt.

Buy the updated GPS version - I have one and as far as I know you can change the batteries yourself - I think they have a 3 year life at least. Cant be exact as its down on the boat.

I have the FastFind +, same as the Fastfind

There is only one screw and one O ring.
You shouldnt need a service agent, it is a user serviceable item.

Remington +Daka, My boat is already coded (yellow code 60nm safe haven) so changing batt by self might be a problem in the eyes of the mca no matter how simple it may be with this model, however it might be ok with newer models as you say with the Fast find + whats the cost of the Fast find and where to buy for best deal ?, it sounds as if this may be the best option in the long run.
