in October's issue of MBY Lester says he has been into Ashlett Creek, where he found the Jolly Sailor Pub, has disappointingly closed.
May I ask, did he visit before the 10th April 2009, and if so, why would you publish this out of date information in October's issue,
The jolly Sailor at Ashlett creek is alive and kicking and serving food, and reopened it's doors on the 10th April this year, also a link http://www.pubutopia.com/pubs/S/Southampton/Fawley/The Jolly Sailor/ even if the pub is shut the Waterside Sailing Club, formerly known as Esso Sailing Club, welcomes ALL sailors to their bar and eatery, housed in the old mill building to port as you arrive at the quay.
No personal gain for me in this, just like to see people use the facilities that are there.
