MBY Article on Duoprops

I see there is a little write up about Magic Marine duoprops, anyone else used them? My local engineers have warned me off using pattern replacements with horror stories of blades being thrown etc. But then they are VP dealers so I suppose they would say that wouldn't they.

It seems the cost of the originals has gone up significantly in the last 2 years so I'm considering these. Anyone else had any experience of them?

I will be looking for A6's to go on DP290 drives

We have been using Powertech duoprops with no issues (well not any I would ascribe to the props themselves). Blades are actually thicker than VP. Load of guff from your engineers IMHO

Can't reference it and not sure which pattern props were used but I think it was PLA that did trials on them and found them superior to the Volvo ones for damage resistance while poking round back waters and no difference in running performance.

We use Powertech with no issues
