As in the previous feature, we have never had or claimed to have a cutter suitable for a stern drive set up as was written in the recent test.
Fitting of a quicKutter
You do need to remove the prop.
You do not (in every case so far in the UK Europe and N America) need to remove the shaft.
You do not need to remove the P bracket.
It was explained to the person writing the test that the test rig could be used to test the quicKutter if some modifications were undertaken. This was to shorten the gap between bearing and prop. but we were not given enough time for this work to be undertaken.
The Test rig had been designed an built by the company that makes the Gator, and hence suited their design which requires an over extended shaft.
