Re: shakedown cruise for old lags

Also it seems a bit daft going to Cherbourg just to find out which bits are going to fall off. I know bit's usually fall off where ever I go, it just does not look like a good idea to go some place for the perpose of it!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: exactly

best way is to say really loudly Ahem, right, let's be off to cherbourg, and then all the boat will be fooled and dodgy bits will fall off within a few hours, even though you are only just outside the marina or at the fuel pontoon, hehe. I don't these boats an inch.

Re: exactly

Well I know what you mean. A couple of months ago I said very loudly, MF yer getting an anti sinking alarm. Not only that but I got them to fit one. Trouble is, they fitted this weedy little buzzer and a warning light that I only found after three days looking. What I wanted was something like a nuclear! bomb alarm type buzzer. So now I worry even more, cos the boats bound to have worked all this out and thinks it can sneakilly sink whilst I,m not there!!

Er - I am...but certainly hoping nothing will fall off! One of the reasons is that I like St Vaast and Carentan.

But it's the only one I'm doing this year. We have planned our own cruises to Brittany and the Scillies of our own, taking longer than usual, and with specific friends on board.

Re: specific friends

Specirfic friends on board eh? Is this a tautology? Or will this years crusies differ from the previous ones when, as i do, you just hauled aboard a couple of bewildered bystanders and set off?...

Re: specific friends

I think he means he can pull into a marina without the likes of us "non specific friends" like us jumping on board and throwing red wine all over the upholsetery :)

Happy memories!

Martin

I had a chat with you regarding cruises and can confirm that you are on the West Country trip. You should also have had an email confirming this and requesting payment. If you haven't rec'd this I will get another one sent to you.
