I tied up to Ha'penny Pier again and this time happened across the Mayflower build in the railway yards. Volunteer took us round and excellent guide. The orthodox exhibition designer haven't ruined it with big boards and feeble interactives but instead heaps of oak logs and shipwrights with their trainees hitting hefty keel
I'll definitely have another look in next time I come north.
They got free oak from Falmouth but in difficult gullies so hard to extract. Thereafter problems with transport but hopes of Navy helping out....if we can stay out of wars for long enough
