I didn't get all of the transmission but I did hear the initial Mayday and it sounded like 2 yachts has collided. No injuries and neither vessel was taking on water so not quite sure why the mayday was required and from the sound of it neither was the coastguard!
Anyone else hear this ( about 14:00 hrs)?

We were on the Dart this afternoon and heard the coast guard call off the lifeboat as not needed but didn't hear the full conversation, there was one this morning of a 7 year old lost near a pier but was also found a few minutes later.

I should add that we were no more than 2 mile away when the mayday was announced and we could see the small rib that the RNLI launched heading towards the two yachts. (The Mayday at this point had been stood down).
What I couldn't understand ( and still can't) was how could 2 boats could collide with each other when they had at least 1 mile between them and the nearest land (Berry Head) and nothing but sea in the opposite direction!
Quite amazing. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt.
