Hi all,
A fellow sailor has been reported missing near the coast of the Sal island in Cape Verde. According to his crew he took the dinghy with a local in a quite windy night after having dinner in a restaurant, to go to their boat anchored in Palmeira Bay.
They may have had a problem with the outboard because they never made it. Chances are they were carried offshore by the wind.
If anyone knows of a vessel in the area, please please try to contact them. All the relevant authorities have been already contacted. His name is Alvaro, and 5 days have already gone by since this happened.
