May Day Orwell today.

About 6-30 tonight my wife says she heard a garbled May Day. Apparently somebody claimed to have a dying man aboard at the entrance of the Orwell. Then there was a discussion about the name of the boat as there was confusion about that and 20 minutes later the SAR helicopter flew over!!!!!

It was a Belgian yacht,suspected heart attack,and he was choppered away. Excellent service,you couldn't pick a better spot for it to happen really,mayday calls up two lifeboats and a helicopter,instead of an ambulance stuck in traffic. Fingers crossed for the Belge anyway.
