So we are flying somewhere tomorrow morning to meet a bloke (lets call him Mr X), to look at a top secret new boat that hasn't been launched yet at its manufacturing facility in Country Y. We're taking a surveyor with us (Mr Z, naturally), and assuming we like everything we see will be placing an order for delivery at an unspecified future date.

I'd like to tell you more, but then i'd have to kill you.

yes, hence the reason for taking Mr Z. If i do decide to go ahead, then i'm definitely not choosing the low risk route to boating bliss. Thing is i'm 40 in February, so if I don't do something a bit reckless now i'll have to buy a Broom or similar, and explain at length about what good use of space it has, and it'll still be going when my grand kids are pensioners, and anyway who needs a few extra knots, and ...

I think the X Factor is not the Mr.
X Factor "The boat hasn't been launched yet"
Surely the Alphabet should read.
XWYZ.
X Lets make sure it floats.
W Meet the Mr whose is now W,
Oh no that can't be right either cos we have to considerZ
X make sure it floats.
Z make sure it's got all it's bits does what it says on the tin.
Nah it's gotta be YXZW.
Difficult this. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

But then you need W afterY before you can bring in the X Factor.
Bit confusing buying a new boat clandestinely.
Need A in the mix an Algebra expert I think.
Then we've got WAZYX.
No that still doesn't look correct.

Don't think We can help to answer Your question.
May be buying a boat this weekend?
Flying off somewhere? unspecified dates (Is that like a blind date?).never been launched! Incognito Bloke with the wrong initial!
Need more info to make the Formula (nah couldn't be one of those) work.

NOH DON'T TELL US! We wanna live! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

You've already told us country Y is Spain unless you've changed your mind /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Its not Belliure as you've said
Gissusaclue then? Flybridge or Open or Hardtop? Oh blimey its not a sailing boat is it?
Rodman 54?

Actually its not Spannish, its just that another model in the range had been reviewed in Spain, and I was interested in the comments on build quality and the like? The purchase of this boat actually involves six different countries and none of them is Spain.

So here's a few clues then, its a Hard Top, not shafts, 50-60 feet long, pushing 40 knots.

/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif What could it be??

I was certainly looking closely at the Absolute 56, and it is a great boat from what I can see and I may still go that route if the visit tomorow doesn't go well, but its not the one i'm going to see.

Off to the airport soon, so all will be revealed good or bad on Sunday/Monday
