Our new boat has the standard sealine mattresses ( very thin layer of cardboard ). The boss has decreed we need to upgrade the forward and aft cabin ones , can anyone recommend a company/ individual? The C48 has the same mattresses as the F46 if that helps, the boat is on Windermere but I am happy to collect further afield
TIA

I had the same issue with the boss and ordered a matress from:

http://www.naturalmatmarine.co.uk/

They sent it by courier.

There was a thread on here by someone who got a sprung mattress from a bed shop and cut it to the size of his berth and sewed it back up again. I thought at the time how clever he was to do it and it did not look that difficult either.

Can he, or anyone, give us the thread link?

Picked up on a previous thread on same subject myself. A number of people recommended the following - www.wizardmarinemattresses.com in Plymouth.
They seem very helpful and immediately sent me a couple of plastic sheet templates. Typical price for an 8.5" pocket sprung shaped double is £500+vat+del. Del.about 3weeks. They claim to supply Sunseeker etc. and can arrange del.anywhere.
Now,about that commission.......?

Kids Inheritance, I have an S42 and I'm looking for a new mattress for our aft cabin as my wife hates how hard it is (the mattress). I'm guessing the S48 and S42 may share the same mattress size. Can you let me know how you get on? maybe we'd get a discount if they made two at the same time??
