Masthead shackle AWOL,!

Lost the shackle and bodged this replacement but uneasy about its ability to take a hard blow.:ambivalence:
Anyone know were I might find a proper replacement.

If it's what I think I'm looking at, it's not a shackle it's a toggle. Any rigger should be able to supply the correct item.

As said maybe a toggle is what you want, but there is a variety of types.

Google "yacht rigging toggles" and see if you can find what you are looking for.

no wonder I couldn,t find the "shackle" online.

You will struggle to find one to be honest, as far as I am aware nobody makes anything that fits the oversize pin on a proctor mast. You may need to use a rigging link and bush one of the pins. You could try a strap toggle upside down and drill out the hole to fit
