I have recently bought a 2003 Oceanis 423 which has a couple of electrical gremlins.
The first is that on shore power, the Mastervolt MAS 12/60 charger randomly shuts off. I have to cycle the shore power for 30 secs to get it to switch back on to charge the batteries. It is running quite hot but the cooling fan is spinning. Is there anything I can check with these?
The second is the interfaced electronics is intermittently losing the GPS fix. I have a Raymarine RL70C chartplotter, radar, fishfinder with a repeater screen by the binnacle. Again, I usually have to cycle the power to all the nav gear get it to re-acquire the GPS signal. Is there a likely candidate, or do I need to get Raymarine to look at it? I just arrived in Singapore, so not sure of the local dealers for this stuff.
