Did anyone see those really cool (and I believe street legal) buggies on the Mastercraft stand at Excel?

Was going to pick up a brochure, decided to just look on their web site afterwards instead, and of course there's no mention of them.

Anyone know what they were or where they can be obtained? I really want one for the summer! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Oops! Err yes, them's the fellas!

How cool are they for £4K road legal though? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Haha well if you want both of them for 4K that's fine, can I borrow one for a few years? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Not sure about road legality, i looked into buying one of those but decided against it for numerous reasons, and legality is a bit iffy if I remember correctly...

If you want to drive round in a buggy all day, get yourself down to the SoF and rent one for a couple of weeks at one of the many places that offer them alongside regular cars - you can drive practically anything with an engine on SoF roads when it;s hot - Quad bikes, anything! just have to be careful of the nutters cos I wouldnt fancy crashing in one of them!

Looks fun though, still /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You gonna hang it off the davits.. or maybe it will go in the garage if you deflate the tender and chuck a few fenders overboard!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Garage? Davits?

Cor i wish /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Could stick it on the bathing platform though!

Hi

That looks like a Joyner buggie which are well built but if you want a bit more power have a look at a Dazon 1100. Its a Chinese buggie with a Suzuki Alto 1100cc (Fuel injected, four cylinder) engine which is also well made & with some simple tinkering will do 95-100mph. They can be bought in England for around £6500 fully road registered with CE conformity document. (I believe they cost about £2000 in China).

If I could post pics here I would but don't know how. Feel free to pm me if you would like any further info.

I am not connected to them in any way just had one for a year.

Regards
Kevin.

On the radio Sunday a report that China and India are planning selling new cars at £1,200. VW are planning a aircooled rear wheel drive car to sell at £2,000, makes £4,000 look a bit steep.

On the same prog, in the near future China will have doubled the total number of cars currently on the World's roads, what that will do to the carbon foorprint ???
