POLICE are hunting thieves who stole a mast worth £2,000 from a boat in Oare.
The 20ft mast was taken from a yacht kept near Oare Creek between 4.30pm on Tuesday 9 April and 10am on Wednesday 10 April.
Investigating officer, PC Carl Dean, said: "As this was a 20ft mast, it would have taken at least three people to have moved it.
"We are appealing to members of the public who might have witnessed people or a large vehicle transporting a mast to get in touch."
Kent Police ask anyone with information to contact PC Dean on 101, quoting reference XY/10878/13.
Alternatively, contact Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
