I've decided to take the M/S up to London to see the Queen, and then to park the boat in a marina near work.

Can I have your views please on raising the masts before being craned in? Am I going to be the point of attraction for lightning for all my new neighbours ? Are there any advantages in leaving them in a rack ?

TIA

There are tons of sailing craft on the Tideway but they all have one thing in common. They moor downstream of Tower Bridge. St Kats, South Dock etc. etc. Theres no need to step a mast below Tower bridge.

Makes sense, thanks. It's going to be strange moving along without a pointy thing up in the sky, though !

(I assume that I can also take the radar off the stern gantry ? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
