Martini to race in the Venture Cup.

I see on the news pages that a Martini branded boat is going to race in the Venture cup, its going to be an interesting year for offshore racing, I hope the media get behind it.

Martini sponsorship also on this years Williams F1 car, looks fantastic.

Hope the Venture cup gets some decent backing this year, I hate to say it but It could do with a high profile celeb or two joining in to raise awareness of the event.

Good news that Martini are involved and yes it is a great shame that the organisers did not factor in the solent as part of the route then we would have all been out to cheer all the competitors on :encouragement:

Nothing is ever going to be perfect.

I, for one, cannot wait to see the Venture Cup happen. Getting these things up and running is a major battle. While it would be great to see more coverage, I have every faith that the event will be a whopping one.

I just wish I had the £££/resources to get involved.

Unfortunately the powers that be won't let us run a race through the Solent any more; they say it's to dangerous; obviously been watching too much sailing! Preparations going pretty well, venues all looking forward to it, website being updated next week. Entries looking like about 18 or so. It will be an adventure to be sure. A couple of teams are looking for help; financial, support teams, even crew. Simon
