Apparently a problem with Marsh Lock this evening.

Gate broken - allegedly a narrow boat struck the gate shortly after the lock keeper went off duty this evening. No news as to when it can be fixed but doesn’t look too good for Monday. Very annoying and costly as had to tie up at Henley for the evening and take a taxi to Wargrave to pick up my car. Wish people would be more careful!

Call the EA on 03708 506 506 and ask for the Thames Waterways Duty Officer. No point phoning the lock office as the staff tend to ignore that phone now.
