Marsh lock broken - 01/06/17 - 12.02

Live report from Marsh lock is that it is currently broken. Boats are trapped in it with "oil" pouring out from one of the RAMs.

The electronics have been playing up on it for a few weeks, sometimes taking up to five minutes to allow you to begin closing the downstream sluices after the gates. Probably wasn't helped by a few hire boats from Hobbs ramming the half open gates after an afternoon at the George & Dragon in Wargrave.

Hope they get it fixed as I, with some others from T&K marina are off to Limehouse in 7 days...

I hope the boats trapped made it out .........must of been very worrying for the skippers

Not at all. They were all advised that there was a hydraulic failure and although it was possible to empty the lock there was a likelihood the lock couldn't be filled and opened and despite this they all chose to take the chance.
As predicted it filled but wouldn't open.
Engineer attended and all sorted out in less than a couple of hours.
