Last year the rates were €27 for 12 meters high season in August - now they are €44 in May, the season now runs from May to September. Winter rate is now €27 - all the marinas have gone up from Port Napolean to Marseille uniformally all exactly the same rate. It would not have been a problem - but the weather and waiting for crew to come - on cancelled volcanic flights, have caused me to use them rather than anchor.
Anyway, I have devised a cunning plan to mitigate such a rip off. You know the Capitaneries generally close at 6pm and open at 8 am......... Lovely day in an anchorage (in the rain) and then........
Still - Crew arriving on the TGV this evening as Marseille airport totally closed at the moment. Wednesday to the Prqueroles and then Corsica. - After that its in the lap of the weather gods - Elbe or West coast Corsica....
