What is the best implement for marking wateproof charts.

Thought marker on a sheet covering the chart, but this would then wash off if it got wet. (bad idea)

I then thought no problem china pencil on the chart covering and make my waypoints on the chart itself. Fine got the china pencils, then though a good soft pencil 2B would be good for marking the chart (wrong). Does not stand out as I expected.

So onto plan C which is ask here.

Thanks in advance.

Gary.

Hi Dave, yep nowhere near the boat for some time and not started getting it ready for wetting and we have planned a week away in July, does it leave any markings when cleaned off.

MS :- is it a meths base to remove the cd/dvd pens from the charts as well ?

Will you be around tomorrow, I've got a memory stick somewhere that might be some use. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Sorry - I thought you meant permanent making (yes, updating /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif). Can't tell you about the meths as I have finished it all.

A dry wipe pen works on plasic (like my Yeoman) but you can smudge it as you go.

Dave, have you got the version of pilot pen that you use.

Spoke to a lovely girl at Pilot Pens and she said she would get back to me when I asked for something that fits your description. Needless to say am still waiting to hear. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Put it down to my crap description /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
PM your address and I'll send a couple, then you'll be able to tell them exactly what it is /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
