Hi all,

To add to the steady flow of info about Dutch waters here, there are two things I'd like to mention...

1 Markermeer: (useful now) Waterplanten.nu offers an overview of the well-known weed problem in the Markermeer. Recent experience suggests it is pretty on the money but it's not (of course) definitive. It does show the areas that have recently been mowed though. We find it useful.

2 Haringvliet bridge: (useful for next year!): It has been pointed out on this forum that the Haringvlietbrug only opens twice a day this year. This is extremely frequent compared to the plan for next year - which is that from 1st January until autumn 2023, the lifting part of the bridge will not open at all. That's the current plan at least - Rijswaterstaat say of course it is all subject to change. You will still be able go in/out through the Goeresee sluis at Stellendam and then use the Spui/Oude Maas/Dordstsche Kil to get round to the other side of the Haringvlietbrug, but it will add a few hours to the trip. We came from Haringvliet to Maasluis via the Spui last weekend and it was rather nice, so it may be a chance to see somewhere different!
