Marinized Isuzu spotters guide?

Hi all,

I am pulling a complete blank on identifying the motor in my boat.

It is a marinized Izuzu, from approx. 2002. It has a manufacturers identification plate on the top, as follows:-

ISUZU MARINE
ENGINE TYPE: IM3L028
Serial No: (stuff)

However, Googling this comes up with nowt. Looking on the US, Japan, and Australia Isuzu sites comes up with nowt, the same on the downloadable PDF engine guides.
Does anyone know what it is? I want to get a service manual at some point- however, for the mo I would be happy just knowing what oil to put in it!

Sorry to reply to my own post, but I found "Engines plus" sorted me out. Apparently the IM3L0... was IM3LD- they sorted that & sent me a guide & told me what oil & filter I needed. I am sure we can't advertise here, but I now rate them 'top bananas'.

If it is of any use to you I have an Isuzu marine 3KC 1EA-0 2 three cylinder 27.5 hp diesel in my boat and I use Halfords Semi-Synthetic 15W40 Diesel oil, never had a problem with it, change it every year (which is about 100hrs) and always the filter at the same time.
