Hello to all
Total new guy here but looking at buying a Cleopatra 700 sports fisherman project which the previous owner has converted from twin to single drive. The plan he had was to fit a huge petrol engine mated to C mercruiser alpha stern drive so this work has already been carried out on the boat.
The question I have is I want to fit a nice diesel unit and planned on converting a gmc unit for the job. I know I need heat exchangers etc but are there companies who can mate up the engine to sterndrive and do I need to fit a gearbox as well ? Also I need to work out prop size etc for the engine.
Any advice would be great,
