Mariner 60 (sixty) insurance valuation ...

Hi ... hope this is the right section .. ?

Recently purchased a full boat setup including a 1997 Mariner 60 (sixty) with full tilt and trim and oil injection. Engine is in excellent condition all round and a v good example for its year ..

What i need to know is what would be a suitable insurance valuation replacement price on my policy so that i know i am suitably covered. I am currently covered to £2000 on the engine ... is this sufficient to replace it for similar ?

Simple answer is yes, £2000 should be adequate. Plenty of 60HP around and in todays climate replacement will not be that difficult. However if looking for a New for Old price think about £4000.
